Happy Wednesday from Me and The Mouse

Hey there, Peeps!

Wow!  It sure feels like late spring here in our little town today.  There's been a lovely breeze blowing all day and I've had my windows open....Not much like August in Virginia.

I've been working in the studio today designing Christmas cards.  Yep!  That's right!  I said, "Christmas".  The brand new Holiday Catalog is full of fun new stamps for fall, Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, snow days and more.  I'm working on some sneak peek projects for you that I'll be sharing soon.  If you are already on my mailing list, you should receive your copy in the mail soon (if not already).  If you aren't on my mailing list...we need to fix that!  Either message me here on the blog or email me at shellsuit@verizon.net and request to be added.  We'll fix ya right up!  The catalog goes LIVE on August 28th so you'll want to get your Wish List ready to roll.

The card I'm sharing today is one that I created first with the NEW "Kinda Eclectic" stamp set.  I know that you know that I almost always have Disney on my brain so I'm sure it comes as little to no surprise.  Well....let me show you the card and stamp set and you'll see what I mean.

Now, here's the "Kinda Eclectic" stamp set...

"Kinda Eclectic" Wood Mount #135347   Clear Mount #135350

I'm sure not everyone looks at this beautiful, serene stamp set and thinks....DISNEY!!!
Here's what inspired my card....

"Mickey's Sun Wheel" at Disneyland - Anaheim, CA

You know me....I love "thinking outside the box".  Heck...sometimes I just bust the side off that sucker and head WAY outside the box.  LOL
Anyway....that's just a little peek inside how my brain worked for this one.

This card also has a couple of other "newbie" products too.  First, the "Hearts and Stars" Decorative Masks...#133777
They are so adorable and versatile.  They are only $2.95 for the set of two!!  Woot!
There's also a second set called "Dots and Stripes" #133775" and they are $2.95 also.

The other new product I used is the punch I used to create those stinkin' cute itty bitty stars.
They were made with one of the three little punches in the "Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack" #133787.

I have already gotten my money outta these little beauties.  They will be well loved for a very long time in my studio.

Since it's Hump Day and you might need a little more inspiration...I thought I'd share one more card before I sign off.  It's a totally different design using the same stamp set.  Just shows you how versatile our stamps can be...

Alrighty...I'm off to get my run in before the evening gets away from me.  I can't remember if I told you or not....BUT....I'm training for my very first HALF MARATHON!  YES!  At Disney World (duh!) LOL  It's in November during Disney's Wine and Dine Festival.  I'll be posting about it a lot I'm sure.

Alright....If you don't have "Kinda Eclectic", the masks and/or the punches yet...what are you waiting for?  You'll LOVE them!!  Just head over to my Online Store by CLICKING HERE  No lines...No waiting and you can even shop in your pjs!

Wishing you a magical day,

  1. Michelle - what size of punches did you use to make the Mickey head? I love this card!

  2. Hi Christine! I don't have the card here with me at the moment but I think was the one that's a 1 3/8" for the head and then 3/4" circles for the ears. I double check though. SO glad you like it. :-)

  3. This is totally awesome. I may have to borrow your idea. Such a great Mickey and your inspiration is perfect. I too always have Disney on the brain. °O°
