Let the magic begin!

Hey there Peeps!!

As I type this I'm sitting in the waiting area in the Amtrak Station in Lorton, VA.  Our car has been loaded on the train car, we're all checked in, we have our dining reservations for the 7 p.m. seating and.....well....now we wait to board.  The energy level in our little group of five is pretty electric.  Everyone brought their own backpack with things to do on the train during the 12 hour trip to Florida.  As I've said before when we've left for vacation...."If I didn't pack it....I buy it there!"  Whew!

I don't take one second of this family adventure for granted.  We are extremely blessed to be able to share this trip with our family.  God is good!  I'm looking forward to having my laptop with me on the train with 12 hours to work on some new scrapbook layouts with My Digital Studio.  I have to tell you that I was NOT one who thought I'd ever enjoy digital scrapbooking because I love the paper/adhesive/embellishment route SO much.  But I have to say that I'm now officially and completely addicted!  It's so much fun using the same paper, embellishments and, yes, even stamps to create my pages.  The only difference is I don't have to use adhesive.

I started out with the FREE 30 day trial that SU! offers and it didn't take long for me to get hooked.  I'm looking forward to getting a few pages done during the trip.  I'll keep you posted.  If you ever decide you'd like to try it out and take it out for a spin, just go to my Online Stampin' Store and click to download MDS for FREE.

Today I thought I'd share a project with you that I created for a 3D swap at Convention.  I think that they are stinkin' cute.....I hope you do too.  Here you go....

These are what I like to call....."Cupcake Onesies".  They are made by rolling a baby washcloth up and then adding on a onesie ( I used Size 6-9 months).  I secured them together with a ponytail holder.  I then cut a piece of the Perfect Polka Dot Designer Series Paper and make a cupcake wrapper.  I cut a thin strip from a coordinating color and punched it with the Scallop Edge Punch and adhered it to the top edge.  I added a fluffy pom pom as the cherry on top with a small piece of Sticky Strip.  The "Sweet Baby" sentiment is from the "Bitty Banners" stamp set and I cut them out using the coordinating framelit dies.  I used my Paper Piercing Tool to poke a hole in one end and added a small safety pin from the Vintage Trinket Collection.

Wouldn't these be cute to decorate the tables at a baby shower??  SO sweet and SO fun.

Ok....I guess I'd better start gathering the troops and get ready to board the train soon.  Zach is like a helium balloon!  Wait until he see that our seats are on the upper deck!  LOL

Blessings to you my friends and I'll post again as soon as I can.

Have a magical day!
