Fabulous Five

Happy Sunday!

What a gorgeous day here in Virginia today.  Ahhhhh!  I love summertime.
I also LOVE having stampers here for stamp camp and watching them create.  Yesterday they made five cards using some new goodies from the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog.  I thought I'd share the cards with you and some of the deets on what they used...  Here you go......

First.....Here's an "Easel Card" made with one of my new faves   "Bootiful Occasions"

I love this set!  There are four different boot designs and they are just so stinkin' cute!  Check them out in the catalog on page 50.  I also love the new clear, faceted buttons.  They made the perfect embellishment for this little card tied up with a piece of Pool Party Baker's Twine.

Here's the next design.  This one was made using the "Decorate a Daisy" Stamp Set and the New "Daydream" Jumbo Stampin' Wheel.  I love the "black on black effect".  It's SO stunning in person.  The Designer Series Paper is from the new "International Bazaar" DSP Pack.  The colors and patterns are just stunning.  Once I had the card put together I mixed up a spray bottle of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (page 158) with a little rubbing alcohol and made a gorgeous sparkling spritz spray to add a little pizzazz.  Check it out!

The next card was made with the new "You're Amazing" Stamp Set.  It's a fun and bold set that I can tell already will be one of my "go to" stamp sets.   I used 3 different Stampin' Markers to ink up the stamps and I love the way it turned out.  It's such a great way to get more design possibilities out of one stamp.  You'll notice the sweet "TICKETS" on Real Red card stock at the bottom.  That's actually one of the coolest Stampin' Wheels EVER...in my opinion.  I inked my wheel with Basic Black and stamped it on the Real Red card stock and it is just so stinkin' cute.

The next design is made using the "Affection Collection" stamp set.  I'm not gonna lie.... this card was a little out of my "comfort zone".  I always second guess myself when I do collage stamping.  I was happy with the way this one turned out though.

One of the things I love about this card is the background.  It's a really simple technique and I love hearing the "Ooooooooohs" when I demo it.  You just ink up one (or more....LAYERS!) of your Clear Blocks and stamp right on your card stock.  This particular card has this technique done with "Naturals Ivory" card stock and I inked up my clear block with Crumb Cake ink.  Pretty cool, huh?  The card base and ink are both made with one of the New In Colors - Midnight Muse.  It's such a versatile color and can be paired with so many different colors to get a ton of beautiful looks.

Ok....last, but certainly not least.....a Z-Fold card made using the new "Make a Cake" stamp set.  Once again I used Stampin' Markers to ink up the cake and flag stamps.  The "Happy Birthday" image is from the "You're Amazing" stamp set and I think it works great on this card.
I added a little "bling" for fun and VOILA!
