Hello my sweet friends!
It's been a few days since I've actually had time to blog and I'm SO excited with the project I have for you today. We've had a great week with Brittany home on Spring Break. It's hard to believe that it's her last Spring Break before she graduates. Yep...in two short months she'll be graduating. Wow! It's hard to believe that we'll have TWO grads this year. Zach will be graduating from high school in June too.
We are SO blessed.
We had lots of family time while Britt was home. We went to see "The Lorax", had several yummy dinners and really just enjoyed being together. Mike got his stitches out and he's healing quite nicely. We are SO blessed and happy that he will heal and it will all be behind him. Praise the Lord!
Here are a couple of photos from one of our dinners this week.
I just thought I'd share the smiles with you...
Britt packed up her car this evening and headed back to school. It's always great to get the phone call saying, "Hi, Mom! I'm back at school safe and sound!" Whew
Ok...Now on to the project for today. These are a couple of little treats that I came up with this week when I unpacked my big box of goodies from Stampin' Up! Man, I love seeing that box on my porch!!
I ordered one of the Big Shot dies I'd been drooling over for a long time. I thought spring was the perfect time to add it to my collection. It's called "Flowers, Daisies #2" I have lots of projects planned using this little sweetie. Here's what the die looks like....
114520 - Flowers, Daisies #2 Die
It cuts three different size daisies in one pass through the Big Shot.
Here's what I came up with.....
|Daisies made from "Blushing Bride" and "Whisper White" Card Stock|
|Daisies made from "So Saffron" and "Whisper White" Card Stock|
The leaves are punched out of "Certainly Celery" Card Stock using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. I use that punch for SO many different things. It's the best! The sentiments are both from the "Sprinkled Expressions" stamp set and they are punched from the 1" square punch and layered over a piece of Certainly Celery punched with the Postage Stamp Punch. The centers of the flowers are made using a white button from the "Neutrals" button pack and then I layered one of the new Large Pearls over top.
To make the stem I used the long cello bags filled with M&M's from the Easter assortment. Don't worry....there are lots of purple, pink, blue and yellow ones left to snack on while you work. Trust me...I know.
These little treats would be perfect to make for co-workers, friends, Easter basket treats or even great projects for Girls Scouts or youth groups to make. Here's a supply list for you in case you'd like to get started on making some of these cuties for your very own. Just go to my Online SU! Store to shop for the things you need. It's open 24/7...no lines...no waiting...and you can shop in your pj's.
