Giving Thanks

Hello All,

Today we remember and cherish all those lost and those who have been touched by the events of 9/11.  I know we all remember where we were...what we were doing and how we felt.  Today we give thanks for all the blessings in our lives.  I made this card with that in mind....

The pocket is made from one of the  beautiful patterns from the "Spice Cake" Designer Series Paper pack.  I love the colors.  They are just stunning.
Here's a little peek at the assortment....

They are even more vibrant in person.
Here's a close up of the card...

The "Give Thanks" stamp is from one of my new favorite sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It's called Hand Penned Holidays.  It was also featured in yesterday's post.  It is embossed on Very Vanilla card stock with Gold Embossing Powder.  I tore the greeting out to give it  a rustic feel and then sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink.  The leaves are stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with the same.  They are from the French Foliage stamp set.   The ribbon is the Early Espresso quilted ribbon and the button is from the new Spice Cake Designer Buttons...both from the Holiday Mini also.

Here's the card opened up....

I love pocket cards.  It's such a fun design to make.  The leaves on the inside are stamped with Pool Party and Early Espresso ink.  The "button" brad is from the Vintage Trinkets.  I inked the top of it with Versamark ink and then embossed it with the Gold embossing powder to match.  Cool, huh?

Here are all the goodies that come with the Vintage Trinkets...
