Christmas Happiness

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas outside but it's cozy here in the studio today.  I've been working on cards for some very special people and I thought I'd share one of the designs with you today.

I can't even tell you how much I LOVE the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder.  Ugh!  It's it GORGEOUS!  It's the perfect background for this card.  Don't you think?

The supplies I used are listed below.  Remember, if there are any of the supplies you'd like to purchase, just click  go right to my Online Store by CLICKING HERE.

OOPS...I forgot to  mention that the ribbon on the original card happens to be retired.  I substituted a gorgeous alternative though that you'll love.
It's in the supply list.

What are you working on for the holiday?  I'd love to see!

Wishing you a magical day,
Michelle

Wood Words - Thanks a Bunch

Thanks a Bunch!

Well, I'm still here...just in case you were wondering.  For those of you who are local or those who follow me on Facebook, you know that it's been quite eventful around here for the last couple of months.  My husband, Mike, had an accident and not only broke two bones in his ankle but he also severed his quad muscle in the same leg.  He had to have a very long surgery to repair everything and will be recovering for quite some time.  Two days after his surgery my dad had a heart attack.  We are praising God that they are both healing nicely and we continue to feel blessed beyond measure.

I'm trying to get back into my regular routine here in the studio and also with classes and events.  Speaking of which, Burgers and Cards is THIS Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m.  I moved it up a week because of Halloween.  The next one will be the last Tuesday of the month as usual.

If you'd like to join us, you'll find all of the details and also be able to RSVP at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/suitablystamped/events?id=1242441

Here are the supplies I used to create this beauty.  To order, just click on the image and you'll be taken right to my Online Store.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Michelle

Best. Summer. Ever.

Greetings from the Outer Banks - Avon, NC
This is our home away from home this week.  Not too shabby if you ask me!
We've counted the days until this trip since we drove off of the island last year  It's just awesome having all of us here together just kicking back and sharing laughs and fun together.
Our tradition of ordering pizza for dinner the first night lives on.

Today we've had clouds and spitting rain.  Even rain at the beach can be a good thing.  We've all just kicked back and relaxed today and I have to say it's felt heavenly.  It's also given me time to look at my upcoming calendar of events and I am just itching to share some new and exciting ideas with all of you.
The view from here....just over those dunes the waves are beckoning...
I loved sitting here and putting this month's Paper Pumpkin together.  It's probably one of my favorites ever.  It's called "One in a Melon".  It's stinkin' cute!  I have so many ideas for other ways to use the stamp set that was included in the kit.  Have you ever tried Paper Pumpkin?  It's a monthly kit that comes in the mail with projects that are ready to stamp and assemble.  It even includes the ink that you need!  Love it!  If you'd like to find out more about Paper Pumpkin, just CLICK HERE.
Here's a peek at "One in a Melon"...
All ready to craft to my heart's content...
How cute are these!?  Six fun cards and four adorable gift bags.

Whether you're a long time crafter or just a beginner, Paper Pumpkin is a perfect treat each month to keep your creative juices flowing.  One cool feature is that you can choose to skip a month here and there if you'd like.  It's just magical!

Want to see more?  Check out this fun Paper Pumpkin video from Stampin' Up!  Enjoy!

Live with Zest!

Hello, Friends!

Happy Hump Day....  I'm having a blast playing with lots of new products from the new catalog.  The Lemon Zest stamp set is so whimsical and guess what....it has a coordinating punch!  Woot!  I'm SO excited!!  Even the slice of lemon/lime can be punched out with the 1 3/4" circle punch.  Score!

Not only are the images fun...the sentiments are awesome too!  Check out all of the images in the set...

In the photo below you can see how I added a little Clear Wink of Stella to the lime slices and they just POP.  Also, check out the gorgeous, new Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon.  Isn't it yummy??
To give the lime slices a 3D look, I inked up the stamp first in Lemon Lime Twist ink and then used a Sponge Dauber to ink the edges over top of it with Wild Wasabi ink.

Here are all of the supplies you'll need to create this tart but sweet beauty.  To get yours, just click on the items you need and you'll be taken right to my Online Store where you can finish shopping.
I hope you have fun creating with these and other new products.  I'd love to see what you come up with!

Wishing you inky fingers ahead,
Michelle
