A Video Message For You

Hello, my friends!

Wow!  What an exciting time it's been these past couple of days.  Last night I attended the exclusive, red carpet premiere of the NEW Stampin' Up! I had a New Catalog! Who needed sleep??) and I look pretty rough.  LOL
Here's a photo of one of the projects I share on the video....
It's the one we created at this month's Inkerbelles Stampers team meeting.
The details are in the video below...

Ok...so here's today's Stampin' News For You...  Enjoy!

Simply Sketched

Good Morning, my friends,

It's a glorious morning here in our little town.  The sun is shining...the skies are blue...and the birds are singing like crazy.  I was up and at 'em early this morning and I created a sweet card using another of my "retiring" friends, "Simply Sketched".  I love the images in this stamp set.

"Simply Sketched"  Item #129672
Here's my card for today...

I stamped the flower image on a scrap of the Naturals Ivory card stock with Staz On Ink.  I love that card stock because it just has a rustic feel.  I also like to watercolor on it.  It's not the same as the regular watercolor paper but it still works.  I love the palette of Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple to go along with it.  It just seems very soft and sweet.  I know that none of us really loves creating sympathy cards but I'm glad I could make this one for a very dear friend who lost her father this week.

I'm heading out soon to attend a very exciting webinar today all about our new partnership with Project Life.  I got all of my PL preorder items in the mail yesterday and I can't wait to play with them today at the team gathering.  Project Life is going to be such a huge blessing in my scrapbooking life.  Have you heard of it before?  Have you tried it?  Well, hang on to your hats because the exclusive Project Life designs for Stampin' Up! will seriously rock your socks.  Get those boxes of photos out of  your closet and get ready to get them into beautiful keepsake albums that you and your family will treasure for a lifetime.

If you haven't checked out the Retiring List lately, you'll want to see it today.  Stamps and Accessories are flying off of the shelves.  Don't miss out on the items you really want for your stamp room.

Farewell "Betsy's Blossoms"

Happy Wednesday Everyone....
I've been looking through all of my retiring stamp sets and taking a few out to play with before they go to new homes.  "Betsy's Blossoms" has been a favorite of mine since it premiered.  I just love the clean lines and the images are just sweet.

Here's the card I created with it today...

I made a "step" card using some of the retiring "In Colors"...Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse.  I also added some of the retiring 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon in Primrose Petals too. (Item #126844).  I used a piece of Linen Thread under the bird for a little 3D "nest" kinda thing.  Thank you, Kimberly Van Diepen, for the inspiration.
I made the little bookmark on the left with two pieces of card stock and the Gumball Green piece is punched with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch (Item #133324).  I tell you what....that thing is worth it's weight in gold!  I love all that I can create with it.  See the two panels on the left hand side that are embossed?  I used the Square Lattice Embossing Folder (Item #119976).  It is also retiring.  I've used the heck out of mine.  If you haven't gotten one yet, better hurry.
To finish it off,  I added a few Basics Pearls (Item #119247) to bring it all to life.
I'm so happy with the way it turned out.

If you haven't checked out the Retired List of stamps and accessories yet,

Also, don 't forget the FREE SHIPPING special this week.  Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and the Clearance Rack too.
Ooooh!  I do LOVE a GREAT DEAL!

By the Seashore

Happy Tuesday, Friends!

Boy, things have been hoppin' around here.  It's definitely an exciting time and I'm feeling extremely blessed to be able to be home full time to do what I love to do....STAMP and CREATE.  I went through all of my stamp sets last night with the newly released "Retired List" and man, oh MAN am I going to have lots of sets for sale at my "Happy Retirement Hoopla" event.  Now, of course, there are some that I'm sad to see go but I'll tell you a little secret....Stampin' Up! always replaces my favorites with even better and NEW favorites with the premiere of their new catalog.  It never fails.

Speaking of the New Catalog Premiere....If you haven't reserved your copy from me yet, please make sure to either email me or leave me a comment here on the blog and let me know you would like one of your very own.  For those of you who are local, there's no charge.  For those who are long distance, I will be happy to mail you a copy when you pay the shipping cost.  Like I said, just send me a note and we'll get you all set up.

Now...I have a fun card to share with you today.  "By the Seashore" (Item #132852 wood/ #126532 clear) is one of my favorite stamp sets and it's not retiring.  Woot!  I wanted to make a quick "Thank You" card for Brittany's new in-laws who had us all over for Easter dinner and this card should arrive in their mailbox tomorrow.  They are huge "beach" and "ocean" people so I hope they like the card.

I love the color palette that coordinates with the "High Tide" Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog.  The colors I used are Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Summer Starfruit, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.  The Summer Starfruit line of products is retiring.  That includes the ribbon on this card.  I have to be honest....Summer Starfruit was most definitely NOT one of my favorite In Colors when they debuted but it really has grown on me.

Here's a look at the designs that are included in the High Tide DSP pack (Item #137394)

It's even prettier in person. :-)  I will be ordering more of it this week to stock up AND I'll get FREE SHIPPING.  Ugh!  I just love my company!

Did I tell you that I preordered the NEW "Project Life" products yesterday?  Yep!  I will definitely be stalking my UPS guy tomorrow.  I can't wait to see all of the goodies that are included and I'm excited that all of the designs will be exclusive to Stampin' Up!

Alrighty....I'm off to stamp something fun before I turn in.

Wishing you a wonderful evening,

Carrots and Candy and Bunnies...Oh My!

Hey there, Peeps!

Wowzer!  Are we ever getting a soaking rain here today?  I'm so happy to be here in the studio where it's dry and looking out the window at all of the blooms popping up out there.

Today I'm sharing a sweet Easter ensemble with you.  The little "carrots" are my take on the traditional "sour cream" containers.  I made them a little  more elongated so they looked more like carrots.  These carrots are filled with malted Easter eggs. Mmmmm!  The "greens" on the carrot tops are made using just a scrap of green card stock and my awesome "Fringe Scissors".

The card measure 4" x 4" and it so sweet in person.  I stamped the little bunny and greeting from the "Eggstra Spectacular" stamp set.  It's just precious.

I took a coordinating piece of the "Watercolor Wonder" Designer Series Paper and used my Envelope Punch Board to create a fun, little envelope too.  How fun is THAT?

Are you ready for this weekend's festivities?  I'm excited to have our family together for Easter dinner and just enjoy each other's company.

Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals that were announced today.  You can order yours at my Online Store by just CLICKING HERE

Ok...I'm off to get a little organizing done in the studio.

Wishing you a magical day,

"Roxie Red Robin" - New Punch Art Critter

Hey Peeps!

I just had to pop in and share this with you.  I've been working in the studio non stop today and I just couldn't wait to show the NEW addition to the "Suitably Punched Critter" Collection.

Please help me welcome "Roxie Red Robin"...

I saw a couple of plump robins outside my window today and I just had to create one for the SPC Collection.  I love that she's sitting patiently and waiting for her new babies to hatch.  "Hello, Spring!"

Since it's almost midnight here....I will sign off for now.  Before I go, I want to tell you about a very special offer.  The very first customer to place an order at my Online Store after this post goes "Live" will receive this ORIGINAL punch art critter design as my gift.  I've never given away and a original design before but I'd love to share Roxie with someone special.

So....will "Roxie" be flying to your house?  We'll have to wait and see who is first.

Wishing you a terrific Thursday,

Vintage "Bella" Nursery Punch Art Decor

Hello my friends,  Happy Tuesday!

I had such a great day in the studio today.  I did a few new sketches for upcoming projects that I'm just itching to create and share with you.  The project that came to life today is one that's been in my head for a couple of weeks now.  Actually, it was one of the first projects I sketched out when I got the "Hardwood" Background Stamp in my original order from the Occasions Catalog.  It is absolutely SO versatile and is a stunning addition to all kinds of projects.  Have you ordered it yet?  If so, I'd love to see what you've come up with.  Send me your photos.  If not, you can get one of your own at my Online Store.  (Hardwood Background Stamp:  Wood Mount #133032/Clear Mount #133035)

Here's what I came up with...
It's a framed decor piece that's perfect for a nursery with a vintage feel.

I created it as a 5" x 7" piece and when I went to find a frame at my local craft store, this one just jumped right off the shelf at me.  LOL  It's perfect!  The background DSP that looks like a white/brown wallpaper, is from the "Fresh Prints" Designer Series Paper Stack in the Occasions Catalog (Item #132996)  I LOVE that stack!  The dresser is made with Coastal Cabana card stock (Item #131297) and the Hardwood Stamp was inked with Baked Brown Sugar Ink (Item #131174).  I used the same ink to sponge the edges to give it a distressed feel.  The little dress is made with one of my favorite punches...the Owl Builder Punch (Item #118074).  I also used the 1 1/4" Scallop Punch (Item #127811) for the dress ruffle and the 1" Circle Punch (Item #119868) for the "Bloomers".

The mirror over the dresser was made using a scrap of Soft Suede card stock (Item #115318) and a scrap of the Silver Foil Sheet (Item #132178).  I embossed the Soft Suede oval with the Oval from the Designer Frames Embossing Folders (Item #123130) and the Silver Foil oval is punched out using the Extra Large Oval Punch (Item #119859).

The name banner was created by printing out the letters of the name on Whisper White card stock (Item #100730) and then they were punched out using the little banner punch.  I used a piece of the Silver Baker's Twine as the anchor for the banner (Item #132976).  It really tied in well with the "bling" on the dresser drawer pulls.

I have to tell ya....I'm already thinking of a couple of gifts I need in the very near future for a couple of baby showers.  I think these would be really sweet gifts to give.  Don't you?

I hope you've enjoyed today's project.  Before I go, I want to share the "Weekly Deals" with you.
I can't believe that there are actually punches that I still don't own!!  The little punch trio is at the top of my order this week.  What's on yours?

My Online Store is open 24/7....the lights are always on and there's never a line.

One Sheet Wonder-ful!

Good Morning Peeps!

Happy Thursday!  It's definitely a happy day here because Mike's coming home from travel.  WOOT!
We have missed him SO much this week.  I'm counting down til time to head to the airport.

I had a great group of stampers here last night for the "One Sheet Wonder" class.  We had a blast.  It's so much fun getting together to stamp, laugh and just chat.  The ladies gave this class two thumbs WAY up.  The loved getting SO much from one sheet of DSP and they were excited to have six "clean and simple" cards to make that will be easy to recreate at home.  I really love the tote that we made to put them all in.  It makes a terrific gift for all sorts of occasions.

Now...if you've never heard of the One Sheet Wonder idea before, it's simply a way to cut one sheet of Designer Series Paper into assorted sizes to be used on a bunch of projects.  Now, I could have spent tons of time measuring and drawing out a brand new design but I decided not to reinvent the wheel.  There are tons of OSW sketches out there on the internet on Pinterest, on paper crafting blogs and when all else fails...Google it!
Here's a link to the one that I chose to use.  I only used the measurements for cutting and then took the pieces and made my own card designs with them.  One Sheet Wonder Template

Okay....Now here's how we used all of our pieces.....
Be sure to read all the way to the end of this post for info on the fabulous DSP we used.

Here's the tote that all of the cards fit in...

Card 1

Card 2

Card 3
 Card 4

Card 5

Card 6
Aren't they fun?  The girls kept saying how they LOVED making "clean and simple" cards that will be quick to make when they need one in a jiffy.  I'm telling you...I've been looking at my DSP with brand new eyes.  I can't wait to create more.

Speaking of DSP...Here's the collection we used.  It's from the Occasions Catalog on page 23 and it's called "Watercolor Wonder" (Item #132994).  I love all of the designs.  It's one of those collections where you have a hard time "hiding" one of the pretty sides of the paper.  LOL
Here's a little snipet for you...

If you haven't seen all of the DSP collections available, you just have to check them out.  They are beautiful and they are all double sided which makes them even MORE magical. :-)
Go to my Online Store by just CLICKING HERE  to see them now.
I'd LOVE to see what YOU come up with.  Please send photos of your creations to me.  That would rock my socks!

Here are a couple of the stampers from last night's class with their completed projects.  What FUN!!

Cathy loved the "blue" version...

Shannon and Gina showing off their completed totes...

Ok....I'm off to the airport!!  WAHOOOOO!

Wishing you a magical day!
