Girls' Weekend Retreat! Yee Haw!

Hello my friends!

It's FRIDAY and I couldn't be better.  I'm sitting at a wonderful table with most of my stampin' supplies at a gorgeous resort near Richmond, VA.  My wonderful friend, Stephanie (aka "The Croppin' Queen) worked with my husband and helped him surprise me with this wonderful girls' weekend scrapbooking retreat.  WAHOOOO!!!  It's one that is extremely hard to get into and they did it!  They got us both in this year.  We've had a wonderful time today already.  We'll be here through Sunday and I'm really loving it so far.

I brought about 300+ pictures from our trip last November to Disney for my very first Disney 5k. It was AWESOME and I can't wait to get all of the photos in an album that I can treasure forever.  It was a HUGE accomplishment for me and I don't ever want to forget how I felt when I achieved my goal.

I guess all of these photos got me in a "Disney" frame of mind because before I knew it, I had created a new Disney themed card.  Here's what I came up with....

Disney Instagram!  Fun, huh??  I had a lot of fun putting it together.  I have SO many things that I brought to work on this weekend.  I guess I'd better get to work!

Wherever you are this weekend....I hope you are warm and toasty...and I hope you get some time to get your fingers inky and craft your heart out.

Stamped Blessings,

Dreaming of Spring

Good Morning Friends!

I'm off to work soon but I just had to share this fun card with you before I leave.  We've had our share of snow this winter and I think it's safe to say that we're all ready for SPRING.  I'm sure you know by now how much I LOVE Stampin' Up! punches.  I love using them for things that they weren't necessarily "designed" for. Well, I also love them because they are the perfect tool to make your card making quick and easy.  The new Petite Petals punch (Item #133322) that is from the Occasions Catalog is so stinkin' cute and it was just perfect for my card design today.  Here's a little "spring" for you...

Isn't that happy???  I love all of the colors and just how bright and cheerful it is.  The background is a piece of the "Watercolor Wonder" Designer Series Paper (Item #132994).  Love it!  The little "I Dig You" stamp is from the "Tag It" stamp set (Item # 130303).

If you like the Petite Petals Punch you'll love it even more when you see that you can purchase it as a bundle along with the coordinating Petite Petals Stamp Set. (Wood Mount #133152/Clear Mount #133155)
Bundle and Save:  Wood Mount Bundle #134821/Clear Mount Bundle #134822

Alrighty then....I'd better get bundled up and head off to work.  I'll still be dreaming of spring today.  How about you?  You can see more at my Online Store.  Just head over there and shop to your heart's content.  Simply click on the shopping cart above and shop til you drop.

The brown tote bags are SO stinkin' cute.   The would be perfect to stamp on for any occasion.
Now...let me show you what I made with my kit...

I love all of the punch out alphabet letters.  There are also plain, white starburst circles to stamp on and then a couple of sheets of the Island Indigo circles to back them with.  There are two photopolymer circle stamps in different designs in the kit along with white grossgrain ribbon, yellow/white baker's twine and small clothespins and a sheet of stampin' dimensionals and a "Pistachio Pudding" ink spot.  I made a little 3" x 3" inch card that coordinates.  Isn't that the perfect way to wrap up a special gift for someone special?  I think so.

New "Suitably Punched" Disney Princess in the House!

Happy Sunday!!

Sorry I've been MIA for a couple days.  The floor in my new studio is almost complete and I've been trying to move a few things back in so I can work up there.  It's going to be beautiful!
Mike has done a fabulous job.  I'll be taking photos and posting them soon.

Thanks to all of you who voted for the next "Suitably Punched Disney Princess".  It was pretty easy to see which ones were the favorites.  The top two are Anna and Elsa from Disney's "Frozen"!  WOOT!  It seems like the soundtrack is either playing in the house here or in my car constantly and when it's not....Linz is singing "Let It Go" and "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" (with FEELING....aka LOUDLY!).
We will definitely be at the store at the front of the line when the Blu Ray goes on sale.  LOVE IT!

So....are you ready to see "Anna"?  I have to tell you that she is probably my new favorite.

What do you think??  Her dress is definitely 3D and I love all of the layers.  I used it as part of a decor piece and I'll be hanging it with the other Suitably Punched Disney Princesses in my studio.
The completed piece is a 5" x 5" canvas.  I covered it with a piece of the leftover DSP from the "Winter Frost" DSP collection.  I then used the smallest snowflake from the "Snowflake Soiree" stamp set (#127925) and stamped them on a piece of vellum with Versamark ink and embossed them with the Pewter Embossing Powder (#124114).  That was after I stamped the "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful" sentiment from the "Perfect Pennants" stamp set (Wood Mount #13327/Clear Mount #133230) in Versamark and embossing it the same way.  I adhered the vellum piece on top of the DSP with SNAIL adhesive that's hidden under a few of the snowflakes. case you're wondering...I WILL be offering a brand new tutorial for "Anna's Dress".  She will join Cinderella, Snow White and Belle.  If you'd like to order any of the original three princess tutorials, just go back to the top of this page here on my blog and click on the "Tutorials For Sale" tab.

Ok....I'm off for a little adventure today to get a few things accomplished before the week ahead.
I hope whatever you are doing today that you can take time to do something creative and get your fingers a little "inky".

Wishing you a magical day,

Dear Spring...

Hello Peeps!

Today, as we sit and wait for the latest winter storm, Pax, I decided that I needed to bring in a little "spring" to brighten things up. So here's to short sleeves, sandals, warm breezes and a really fun pedicure.

Dear Spring,
This one's for you....

A super easy "easel" card made with the Ovals Framelits #129381 and the Simple Stems stamp set (wood mount #133908/clear mount #133101)   I used Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron and Pistachio Pudding as my color palette and it just feels like spring to me.

What are you looking forward to the most about spring this year?  I can't wait to be able to go on long walks with Mike and Marley and just enjoy all of the new blooms. to the store for more milk, bread and toilet paper.  (Just kidding....mostly wine and chocolate).  12-18 inches of snow means we will be at home for quite awhile.

Have a magical day!

Going for Gold

Happy Tuesday, Peeps!

We've had the Olympics on a lot since before the opening ceremonies and I'm enjoying all of the personal stories and "behind the scenes" looks.  Linz is always intrigued by anything and everything having to do with other countries so this is right up her alley too.  So far the USA hasn't earned too many gold medals but that's okay.  I'm bringing the "gold" today with this fun project.

Take a peek at this sweet Valentine's project that's sure to "blow" your mind and make your eyes "pop".

Blow Pop Bouquet - Valentine Ensemble

Fun!  Right?  This is one of those projects that provides WAY more bang for your buck than you spent to make it.  The adorable, little bottle is from the dollar rack at a local craft store.  (Now I want MORE of them!)  I put one scrap of Whisper White card stock and a scrap of the Gold Foil card stock through our paper shredder.  (It's just a cheapy that I bought at Wal Mart).  I took the shreds and stuffed them into the bottle as filler.  I used another scrap of the Gold Foil card stock and measured a strip to make a wrapper for the bottle.  I then embossed it with one of the "Delicate Designs" Embossing Folders #127023 and then trimmed out the bottom edge.  It's then adhered using Sticky Strip.
The Blow Pop "flowers" are made using the NEW Spiral Flower Die #129379.

It's super easy to use and I have a lot of projects in mind for this little beauty.
I punched a hole in the center of the middle circle before I started gluing the piece together for the stick to go through.  The fun, gold piece in the center of the arrangement is just a piece of the Gold
Foil card stock that is cut at 1 1/4" x 4".  It is folded down the middle on the short side.  I glued a thin piece of wire in the crease at the bottom edge so it has a "stem".  Then, using the new Fringe Scissors #133325, cut from the top edge down approximately 2 3/4"  Then you will curl each strip so that they are springy.   It's just the perfect sparkle for your little arrangement.

I added a little 3" x 3" card with the Love Bird image from the "Love You More" stamp set (Wood Mount #131850/Clear Mount #131853) and embossed it in gold to tie it all together.  Did you notice the background?  It's from the most used embossing folder in my studio lately....  "Decorative Dots" #133520...I know I've told you already but I just LOVE saying it....I got it FREE from Sale A Bration!  WOOT!

Before I go, make sure you check out the "Weekly Deals"
for this week.  You won't want to miss any of them.

Super Hero Sophie Arrives!

Hello, my friends...Happy Monday!

It's a quiet night here in our neck of the woods.  I keep hearing the words "Winter Storm" during all of the commercial breaks on both the radio on the way home and on the t.v tonight.  Hmmmm....I wonder....
I have to say that I'd love just one BIG snow and then spring.  That would be perfect.  I'd have a few days off to just spend time here with Mike and the kids and stamp to my heart's content.  Woot!

I've really had fun tonight working on a new Suitably Punched Critter.  She just makes me giggle.  I was inspired by one of the newest stamp sets called, "Cool Kid".  Here's what I came up with...

Please say, "Hello" to "Super Hero Sophie"

Isn't she fun??  She just cracks me up.  Now...let me show you the stamps that inspired her...

"Cool Kid"   #133125

Isn't it a cute set?  Love it!  I have lots of ideas with this set in mind.  I can't wait to get started.

If you'd like to get a "Cool Kid" stamp set of your own, just head over to my Online Store by clicking the shopping cart above.    While you're there, take a look around.  Check out all of the new stamps and accessories and think of all the possibilities.

Mr. Potato Head - A Disney Fan!

Hello, my friends!

I had planned to wait and post this new project tomorrow but I just can't stand it!!!
I need to share it with you NOW!
I am giddy with excitement!
I've been thinking a lot lately about creating a line of Punch Art Vintage Toys.  I did a little research and have made a few sketches and I decided to start with this dapper little chap.
Please welcome the very first of the
Suitably Vintage Punch Art Collection...

Mr. Potato Head

Now, of course, he's a Disney fan.  Was there ever any doubt?  LOL
Here's where I need your help....
I'm thinking of offering a tutorial for sale.  I'd love to know if there's any interest.
Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead,

You are MY sunshine!

Good Morning my friends and Happy Sunday!

I am so happy today to have time to create and do what I love to do.  I don't know about you, but I think that getting all cozy, turning on some great tunes and stamping the day away is absolutely the BEST feeling.  I saw a cute photo on Pinterest this morning and it started my creative juices flowing.  It was sort of a "jumping off" spot for me.  Here it is....

Now I know I didn't stick with the colors in the photo (which are Crushed Curry and Crumb Cake, of course) LOL, but it was a perfect starter for what I created.  I decided to use Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate instead.  Wanna see? you go.

Isn't that just HAPPY?  It's really a clean and simple card but I just love the way it turned out.
I've wanted to make a Starburst card for awhile now and this was the perfect opportunity.  I love the "See Ya Later" stamp set from Sale A Bration and it's even more fun that I got it for FREE.  Woot!  I love all of the images in the set.  Let me show you....

This set is definitely going to see LOTS of "ink time".
If you haven't seen all of the Sale A Bration products, you can see them by BY CLICKING HERE
This is probably my favorite Sale A Bration collection ever.  Love them all!

I'm off to create some more goodies so stay tuned.

Wishing you a very happy Sunday,

Stinkin' Ca-UTE!

Hey there, stampers!  Happy TGIFE!
(That's "Thank Goodness It's Friday Eve! - a "Lindsay-ism)

I came home after work and couldn't wait to make this little cutie.  She's been rattling around in my head for a few days now and I am SO happy she came to "life" tonight.
Her name is "Dixie" and she's a little skunk.

My daughter, Lindsay has wanted me to create a skunk for awhile now.  She loves "Pepe Le Pew", a popular cartoon skunk that I grew up with on Saturday mornings.  She was SO excited when she came in and saw Dixie on my table as I was photographing her.  She made my day with her giddiness.

I love the new "Woodgrain" background stamp.  It was the perfect addition to the whole "woodland" theme I think.  LOL

When's the last time you just took your punches out and played with them?  Sometime you need to just take them out and punch out a few shapes and see what comes to life.  Honestly....It is the BEST.

Ok...I'm off to get things ready for the school day tomorrow.  I hope you like Dixie and I also hope you're inspired to take your punches out for a spin and see where you end up.

Wishing you a magical day,

I Followed My Heart...

Hello, my friends,

I just had to share this sweet, little card I made tonight before I head up to bed. Sometimes I come home from work and do dinner...errands...laundry...etc. and later on in the evening I just have a feeling that I need to create something pretty. Tonight was one of those nights.

I made "Brinner" tonight (or "breakfast for dinner" as you may call it...) and after everyone was settled in for the evening I came in here to stamp. I'm so glad I did because it was honestly just what I needed. No muss... Just some time to sit and create. Here's what I came up with...

I just love the Postcard background stamp.  I use it for so many different occasions.  I won't list all of the products used on this one tonight. (I really need a little beauty sleep...*yawn*) but please message me if you have any questions.  You know how much I love your comments and questions.

Wishing you a wonderful evening and a bright day tomorrow,

"Awesome Sauce"... Retro Fresh

Happy Monday!
I had so much fun tonight challenging myself to make a "clean and simple" card.  Weird. Right?  How hard can "clean and simple be?  I don't know about you but when I'm crafting I tend to have the "just one more thing" mentality.  It could be a button, a brad, some name it.  Well, tonight I fell in love with one of the new products from the Occasions Catalog that may just change me (at least part of the time) to a clean and simple kind of girl.  Check out the "Retro Fresh" Designer Journaling Tags #133526.
There are 32 tags in 3 sizes for just $4.95.  What a deal!  There are printed designs and some others that are perfect to stamp on.  So....are you ready to see what I came up with?  It's a Z-Fold Card  and it uses one of my favorite tags out of the whole set.

How fun is that?  I used the New "Starburst" Framelits #132967 from the Occasions Catalog.
I love how they mimic the design on the tag.  I also used the awesome
"Decorative Dots" Textured Embossing Folder #133520.
That's right....the one that you can get for FREE during
 Sale A Bration.
I'm going to have to order a couple more because I'm using it all the time.

The little "Good For You" flag is from the "Banner Greetings" Hostess Stamp Set
Wood Mount #129711/Clear Mount #129714
and I think it finishes things off just perfectly.

So...what's YOUR stampin' style?  Do you like clean and simple or are you a "bling queen" like me?
Leave me a comment and let me know.  I love hearing from you.

Wishing you a magical day,

Love You to the Moon and Back

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

This is one of those times when I'm really glad we don't do "video" blog posts LIVE.  You can't even imagine how much my house looks like a bomb has gone off in here.  We've gutted my studio and I'm officially crafting from the comfort of the dining room.  Mike has the new studio wood flooring about half done as of right now.  I can hear the music and banging coming from up there and that means PROGRESS.  WOOT!  It's okay...I'm stamping away down here and I can't wait to get back up there to set up all of the new cabinets and organize my studio space.  I have to keep pinching myself to believe it's finally happening.

Okay....welcome to the  month of "LOVE".  I love Valentine's Day and especially all of the fun crafting possiblities.  I made a new decor item for our house today to keep up all month.  Who knows...I love it SO much....I might keep it up longer. LOL

I love the "On Film" Thinlits and the Polaroid look is definitely "hot" right now.  The thinlits are double the fun because with one run through the Big Shot they not only cut out the frames but them emboss them too.  Yes!
I also used the "Label Card" Thinlit Dies to make the embellishments.  Perfect!

Here's a list of products used in the project....Remember, they are all available at my Online Store.  Go to for all your supplies.

"Love You to the Moon and Back" stamp set
Clear Mount #133143
"On Film" Framelit Dies #132969
"Banner" Punch #133519 (FREE during SAB)
"Label Card" Thinlit Dies  #133479
Silver Glimmer Paper #124005
Red Glimmer Paper #121790
Large Rhinestones #129324
Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine #123125

I had so much fun creating this fun keepsake and I love seeing those sweet faces of all of our kids smiling back at me.  This is a great project to alter and use for any occasion...birthdays, weddings, baby showers, teacher gifts and more.

So, what are you waiting for?  Start spreading the LOVE!

Wishing you a magical day,
