January Class Calendar is Here!

Hey there, Peeps!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying time with family and those you love.  We had a quiet Christmas but it was wonderful.  Our daughter, Brittany, has been put on strict bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy.  She has to be laying flat at all times (other than the bathroom and shower).  It's been rough on her but the contractions have stopped for now and she has 13 weeks to go.  We are all praying for a happy, healthy, full term baby boy.

While she's been in bed, she's been just itching to get me organized and ready for the new stampin' year.  Woot!  The January class calendar is full and I can't wait to share it all with you.  I will be offering some "Stamps in the Mail" class options this year.  We are working on all of the logistics and will be letting you know the details soon.

Please be sure to click on the "Class Sign Up" tab at the top of the blog and check out all of the details for each class.  If you find ones you are interested in, please let me know or just go ahead and sign up.  It's going to be a fun filled month for sure.

Here's one of my favorite projects that I'm offering this month.  This one is definitely one that can be offered to all of my long distance customers.  It's SO stinkin' cute!!  It's the Perpetual Birthday Calendar.  You will get all of the supplies to create the calendar kit and the Perpetual Calendar stamp set too.  They are great to make and keep for yourself and also to make and give as gifts.  Do you like crafting with friends?  You could all order your own kits and make it a "Girls' Night Out" project.  How fun!!

These are just two of the products that will debut in the NEW Occasions Catalog.  Did you get a copy in the mail from me yet?  If not, send me a note and I'll get one out to you right away.  You won't want to miss it.  The catalog goes LIVE on January 6th. can check out all of the January classes by either clicking the "Class Schedule" tab or the "Class Sign Up" tab.  Both are at the top of the blog.

I can't wait for a brand new year of stampin' fun with you!

Happy Day Before the Day Before Thanksgiving!

I don't know about you but I am really getting excited about sharing Thanksgiving with our family this year.  We truly have SO much to be thankful for.  Lindsay has already set the DVR to record the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  It's tradition.  She likes to be able to watch parts of it again and again.  ( do I!)

Since it's almost time to start marking things off of my gift list for Christmas, I started thinking about fun and quick projects to make for those who touch our lives so often....teachers, mail people, hairdressers, the trash guys and so many more.  It's great to remember them and all that they do for us especially during the holidays.

Today I have two of those projects to share with you...  Those who attended my Christmas PJ Stampin' Party last week got to make these and four others that I'll be sharing soon.  If you have any questions, please let me a comment here.  Enjoy!

Color "full" of Thanks

Happy Monday, Peeps!

It feels SO good to be back in the studio today.  It's really cold and rainy outside my window and I'm happy to be inside where it's warm and toasty.  I have a colorful, fun card to share with you today.  I love revisiting techniques that are "oldies but goodies".  This is one of those techniques.

This colorful "Thanks" card was made using the "Baby Wipe Technique".  Man, oh MAN!  I had forgotten how much I love this technique.  It's really easy and, as you can see, it creates really stunning images.

Follow these easy, step-by-step directions to try it out...

Step 1:  Grab a paper plate or a plate you're willing to use for just creating crafts.

Step 2:  Take two baby wipes (any brand will do) and fold them in half.  Then stack them one on top of the other and put them on the plate.

Step 3:  Choose the stamp you'd like to use as the focal point for your project.

Step 4:  Choose 3 or 4 colors of Stampin' Up! Reinkers.  They're SO much more than just a way to reink your stamp pads.  The colors used on this project are:  Pumpkin Pie #105229, Daffodil Delight #119672 and Blackberry Bliss #133648
Step 5:  Take the first reinker and start adding random drops to the baby wipe.
Step 6:  Take the next color and add drops to fill in some of the spaces.

Step 7:  Take the last of your color choices and fill in the rest of the white spaces.
Step 8:  Voila!  Your stamp pad awaits!  Stamp your image and see how beautiful the colors appear.
Now, how cool is that??  The possibilities are endless.  You will be able to stamps lots of images with your unique stamp pad.  Enjoy!

Okay....Here's your supply list.  Be sure to click on the item(s) you want to order and they will be added to your shopping cart.'s magical!  My Online Store can also be found at

Back from vacation and ready to roll!!

Hello, my friends!

I am back from our wonderful vacation.  I never dreamed I would actually come home with new "bling"!  Check it out!!

I am unbelievably proud to say that I DID IT!  I completed my very first HALF MARATHON!!  WOOT!  I still can't believe it.  I keep pulling the medal out just to make sure it wasn't a dream.  It was truly one of the hardest yet most rewarding things I've done.  After having three surgeries on my ankle and being out of commission for SO long, I never EVER thought I could do something like this.  I had such an incredible support team and they are honestly what got me through.  I'll have to have a separate blog post just for all the details of the race.  P.S.  It was at DISNEY WORLD!  Even better!

I was really glad that I took along my sketch book because for some reason being out in the "real world" seemed to get my creative brain back in gear.  I have so many new design ideas and I can't wait to get back into the studio tomorrow.

Here are a few smiles for you before I sign off for the night.  Be sure to stay tuned for all the new projects.  Let the magic begin!

New Punch Art - The Reason for the Season

Good Morning and Happy Thursday!

It's definitely a crisp, fall day here in Virginia. Whew! I love it! It's my favorite season. I've been working on cards and projects for the upcoming holidays and I created a new punch art family to share with you today.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  I looked for inspiration on Pinterest and then took the ideas and made them my own.  You can do it too!  It's all about sharing ideas and inspiration.'ll never know what you can do until you give it a try.

I want to share one more card with you before I go.  It was totally outside my comfort zone.  I needed to make a card with Princess Merida from Disney's "Brave" for a friend.  I had an idea and I decided to give it a try.  Here's what I came up with....

I hope you like it...

Ok...I'm headed to the studio to create today.  I hope you have a wonderful day and that you get your fingers inky very soon.

Best Laid Plans....

Happy Weekend!

It's a beautiful fall day here and we had a pretty fun plan....the operative word would be "had".
We decided to drive Mike's car on our adventure.  We were going to a fall festival in a very small town that is just quaint and homey.  We were about half way there and stopped at an ATM to get a little cash and while we were waiting we noticed smoke coming from under the hood.
After further investigation, we discovered a leak with antifreeze spurting out of it.  Yeah...NO fun.  An adventure...Yes.  The one we had planned...Not so much.
The good news is that we are all safe, fed and happy.  We were rescued by my parents and got to enjoy lunch with them.  Mike is now on a mission to get things taken care of and I am here posting a fun project for you.

One of the cards the girls got to create at this week's "Falling For Fall" card class is this fun "box card" that's just busting at  the seams with colorful fall leaves.
Box cards are a blast to make and decorate and it's great because they fit in a regular envelope.  Woot!
Here's the supply list for you.  Thank YOU to everyone for your awesome comments on the new format.  To order the supplies you need, just click on the item(s) and it will take you right to my Online Store.  How cool is that??

Alrighty....I'm off to teach Linz how to back Pumpkin Bars.  YUMM!

Hot Diggity Dog

Happy Columbus Day!

It's a dreary, rainy day outside but we don't mind.  We're enjoying a relaxing day together inside where it's toasty, dry and warm.  It's nice when everyone has the day off.

I was going through my cards this morning and trying to organize them.  Sometimes one or two slip through the cracks and I forget to actually share them with you.  GASP!!  This card is one that I created as my swaps for Convention this past July.  I loved the "Hot Diggity Dog" stamp set as soon as I saw it in the catalog.  It just makes me smile.

Now...before I show it to you I want to tell you about a new feature here on my blog.  I will be adding the products used for each project that I showcase at the end of each post.  The best part is....when you click on the product, it will take you to my Online Store so that you can quickly and easily add it to your order.  How cool is THAT??

Okay....Here's the "Hot Diggity Dog" card...

I had so much fun creating the fun "dog collar and tag".  I think my favorite part is his shiny nose.  Just a couple drops of Crystal Effects and VOILA! are the supplies used on this project.  Remember....all you need to do is click on the item to add it to your order at my Online Store.  Shop 24/ waiting.

Cloisonne Technique Video Tutorial

Happy Weekend Peeps!

It's been a quiet weekend here in our little corner of the world and that's alright by me.  Sometimes it's nice to just slow things down and breathe.  I have been wanting to get back in the studio to create a few new video tutorials.  Mike and I worked hard on a new set up and today I finally got to shoot the first one in my new digs.

The technique I chose to share is definitely an oldie but a goodie.  You know how they say that "everything old is new again"?  Well...the "Cloisonne" technique is one of those.  Take a look at the newest Suitably Stamped Video...Let me know what you think!

Tag! You're it!

Happy Friday Peeps!!

Today I have a little "Show and Tell" for you...

Yesterday I held two sessions of my "Tag! You're it!" Christmas Tag class.  The stampers all made 15 beautiful gift tags (5 designs/3 of each) and also made an adorable box to put them in.  SO fun!  The boxes are just the bomb!  Did you know that you can purchase the empty stamp cases to use for tons of different things??  OMGeee!!  They are SO stinkin' AWESOME and there are so many uses for them.  Let me show you what we made first and then I'll show you the boxes and info....

Here's the project...

Isn't that FUN??  I have to giggle every time I see the "To/From" tag on the box because NOT ONE of the ladies said they would EVER think of giving their tags away!  HAHAHAHAHA!
This was definitely not a class for the faint of heart but I think everyone agreed that it was TOTALLY worth it in the end.  Whew!

Now...Let me show you those awesome boxes....

These little beauties can hold SO many things. could even use them to pack your lunch in!  They are on page  235 of the Annual Catalog.  What a GREAT deal too.
To order yours, just go to my Online Store at

Want more fun ideas on how to use them?  Check out this cute video from Stampin' Up!

You're So Wonderful

Good Morning Peeps!

If you've followed me for awhile you know that I love finding multiple ways to use the products I buy.  The new "You're So Wonderful" stamp set is definitely one of those products.  At first glance it definitely has a "spring", "girly" feel to it.  Let me show you what I mean...

Pretty "girly", right?  Well, Mike and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary on Monday and I needed to make a card for him and I decided to use this set for it.  Hmmmm...What to do....
Well...Here's what I came up with...

Now that's not "girly" at all!  I love how the images are are a tad whimsical and yet they'll work for a more formal theme too.  Here are all of the images that are included in the "You're Wonderful" stamp set.  The set comes in photopolymer and I love it.
"You're Wonderful" - Item #139158
