"Seriously"? A Paper Pumpkin Twist

Hey there, Stampers and Friends,

Wow!  I came home today and had LOTS of "happy mail" from Stampin' Up!  Not only did I get my pre-order and a copy of the NEW catalog, I got my Paper Pumpkin for this month.  I knew at the Baltimore Regionals when Shannon West showed a couple of projects using the stamps included in this month's "pumpkin" that I was going to LOVE it and I do.

This set is called "Seriously".   No...seriously!  LOL

Well....I took the stamps out of the kit and made a card with my own style.  Here's what I came up with.

There are three stamps in the set.  There's "Seriously", "you kick booty" and "love your guts".  LOL  So fun!!!  For this card I used a Sahara Sand card base.  I then cut a Top Note out of a piece of Daffodil Delight DSP.  The flower was cut from Calypso Coral card stock on the Big Shot and the petals were embossed with the Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  (LOVE it!)  I added a piece of Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon for a little POP of color...and a faceted button with Baker's Twine for good measure.  Now....stepping outside of my 'box" just a bit....I added a few little pieces of our new Washi Tape that's in the "This and That" bundle.  I have to say...I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  :-)  Oops....I almost forgot.... I used my Calypso Coral marker and the Color Spritzer Tool to spritz a little added color on there for fun.

So....you see how you can take those awesome stamps  that are exclusive to My Paper Pumpkin and make them into something totally different and magical?  I love that!

Wishing you a magical day,

"Dude" is NOT just for Dudes!

"Dude"....it's not just for Dudes  :-)  Finding new things to create with the "Dude, You're Welcome" Kit.  I love the colors, textures and card stock.  Woot!

Have you checked out all the goodies that come in the “Dude, You’re Welcome” stamp kit?  I have to be honest.  I ordered one right away and it’s been sitting on my shelf.  I kept thinking, “What can I make with that?”  So today, the floodgates opened and I’m in LOVE with the entire kit!  I love the fun stamps...the awesome, exclusive card stock and the fun gray envelopes that match...WOOT!

So here’s what I came up with....

I used Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.  The sand dollar on the card that’s popped up and the one on the envelope were both embossed with Early Espresso embossing powder and I love how it turned out.  It just adds a little extra “POP”.

Here’s what’s in the kit...

It was created to be an all in one kit for guys to use but it can be SO much more.
Here’s what’s included...

The "Suitable Chicks"

Ok...how can you go wrong with punch art AND feathers??
These sweet, little chicks were some of the new punch art critters I created for my main stage presentation at the Baltimore Regionals.  Of course, like all my critters, they had to have names.

So...meet "Heidi, Hilda, Hillary and Hermoine"...

Aren't they fun?  They were made using the Ornament Punch and the Triple Heart Punch.  They were embossed with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  Be sure to give your punch art a little added dimension by sponging the edges.  The eyes were created by coloring part of each pearl with a black permanent marker.  Fun, huh?

The background was made with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and a little Designer Series Paper.  I then sponged it lightly with Soft Suede ink to make the embossing "pop".  I made four little envelopes out of Pool Party Core'dinations Cardstock and sanded the edges for a little "attitude".  :-)

Everything you need to make these little beauties can be found at my Online Stampin' Store.

Mr. Brown is a Rock Star

Hey there, Peeps!

I have two fun cards to share with you today.  They were both created for my presentation at the Baltimore Regionals.  I don't know if you know this or not but Stampin' Up! demonstrators all have one thing in common.  (well...more than one...but this is a very special "one").  We ALL love to see that brown truck pull up in front of our houses and we especially love to see our own "Mr. Brown"...aka The UPS Guy...walking up to the door with our Stampin' Up! orders in hand.

I created two different projects with the "Mr. Brown" theme.  Are you ready?

Ok....first, there's a Gift Card Holder....Show your "Mr. Brown" how much you appreciate him with a gift card from some place fun...

Isn't he just the cat's meow??  LOL  He cracks me UP!

Ok....Then I was inspired by THIS photo to make another version....

 ....and I made this...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!  That just cracks me up!!!

Alright....now I want to see YOUR punch art!  Come on!  If you haven't tried it...the time is NOW.  You can do it!  Just pick up those punches and jump right in.  You'll love it!

Have a wonderfully relaxing Sunday!

What an AWESOME weekend!

Hey there, Peeps!!

WHEWWWWWW!!!!  What a weekend I've had!!!!
I know I've been slacking here on my blog for the past couple of weeks and I'm very sorry.  I have been burning the midnight oil getting ready for a VERY exciting presentation at Stampin' Up!'s Regional event in Baltimore, MD that was held yesterday.  Let me just say that April 13th will go down as one of my "BEST DAYS EVER".

I was really in shock when I got a call from Stampin' Up! asking me if I'd be a presenter.  I mean....I've sat through a LOT of awesome presentations at the numerous events I've attended and I could NOT believe they wanted ME to share some of MY work.  Holy Guacamole!!!  I was thrilled that they'd seen my punch art and asked if I'd be willing to share it with everyone at regionals.  Are you KIDDING me???

Well, fortunately for me they weren't kidding and so I used the last two weeks to create a few new "Suitably Punched" projects to take with me to the event.

I'm going to share a few of them here in this post and I'll have more coming up this week.  To be completely honest....I've spent SO many hours in my studio during the last two weeks so once I came home from Baltimore yesterday, I promised Mike, Linz and Zach that today I was "all theirs".  We had an awesome adventure with just the four of us today at National Harbor.  It was SO incredible to just laugh and relax and spend some "family time" together.  Needless to say, I didn't get many photos edited and things ready to upload here for the blog post tonight.  I promise you, though, you're going to have lots to see in the coming days and weeks!!

So....are you ready for a few new "critter" friends?  Here are a few of them who made the trip to Baltimore with me yesterday.....

First...  Here's "Barkley" and his two adorable pups, "Bruce" and "Bella...

Next, we have "Olive" the hedgehog and her adorable daughter, "Paisley...

And then there's "Tank"....He's just a big, honkin' pup who just makes me SMILE!...

Then there's "Fancy"...All dressed up with somewhere to go...

And "Fancy's" pal, "Scooter" who's just too cool for school!

So....what do you think?  Did they make you smile???  I hope so!  I'm having SO much fun creating new "critters" and I absolutely LOVE sharing them with YOU.

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  I absolutely LOVE hearing from you all.  I can't wait to show you more!  Soon....I promise!

Alrighty....before I sign off and head up to bed I'll leave you with a few smiles from our little adventure from today.  I'm SO incredibly blessed.  I thank you...from the bottom of my heart....for being one of those blessings in my life too.

Linz just cracked herself up!

Me with my "little" boy, Zach....Um, he's 6'6"!!

Me and my honey, Mike

Linz and her new "ride"....In front of the "Peeps" Store!

What a beautiful day to be outside with the ones you love...

Wishing you a magical day and a fantastic week ahead,

She Sells Seashells...

Hello, my stampin' friends!

Welcome to a brand new week.  WOOT!  I've been busier than a mosquito at a nudist colony picnic!
I'm SOOOOO excited to tell you that I received a phone call last Wednesday from Stampin' Up! asking me to be a presenter at their Baltimore Regional Event this coming Saturday, April 13th.  I still can't believe it!!  I'll be sharing some of my Punch Art.  How cool is THAT???

Needless to say I've been keeping some pretty late hours in my studio.  Too bad I need to work a "regular" job during the day.  :-(  Oh well....we do enjoy things like food and gas and lights...
One day I pray that I'll be able to devote ALL of my time to creating and sharing what I LOVE.  I'm still prayin'!

Ok,..so I wanted to share a fun card with you today with a stamp set that I just bought.  I've looked at it many times as I flipped through the catalog and I think once the temperatures finally warmed up I knew I was ready to add it to my collection.  It's called "By the Seashore" (wood mount #126530/clear mount #126532)  Here are the images included in the set...

...and here's my card...

I love this technique.  It's called "Triple Time Stamping".  It's really a quick and easy technique that has quite a "WOW!" factor.  Hmmm....I might need to do a video tutorial on this one.  What do you think?

The colors I used are Midnight Muse, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.  The center focal point was made using one of those stinkin' cute "Pop Tops" from the Spring Catalog.  I put it through my Big Shot and "smushed" it. (technical term)  :-)  I used the "Sending Many Thanks" stamp from the "Petite Pairs" stamp set (wood mount #122495/clear mount #122497)  The center panel is wrapped with Linen Thread #104199.  I used the "Little Labels Punch Pack" #126881 to make the little tags that are attached.  Aren't they sweet?  They add just a little "POP" of color.

Now I think that this is a perfect card to start sending out to friends and family since the sun seems to be shining just a little brighter and they sky is just a little bluer.  IT'S SPRING!   I know I can't wait for summer to arrive and I'm sure we will be enjoying some of those delicious steamed crabs before you can say, "Old Bay!".

Alrighty....don't forget...you have until midnight tonight to place your orders and have them SHIP FOR FREE.  It's a bargain!!  Just click the shopping cart above and head over to my Online Shop.  FREE SHIPPING is good on anything and everything.  Be sure to check out the Clearance Rack too for some awesome bargains.

Have a magical day!

Introducing...Princess Merida

Oh my GOODNESS!  I have SO much I want to tell you about this project but it is SO late and I have about an hour left of my Spring Break.  :-(  Back to School in the morning.   *sniffle*
We've had a terrific time and I've gotten SO much done.

The project I created this afternoon (and evening) is one I've wanted to do for the last couple of weeks.  I swear it feels like giving birth after completing one of these!!  LOL

I have had so many of you email and ask when the next Princess Punch Art Tutorial will be out and I promise....this one will be done soon but I HAD to share the project with you tonight.  I just couldn't stand it!

So...please stay tuned for the tutorial....Until then.....

I give you....Princess Merida from "Brave"...

The blue of her dress isn't nearly as bright in real life.  I just couldn't get the color in the photo to show it well.  It's actually Not Quite Navy.  Go figure....

I hope it makes you smile and I can't wait to tell you all about it.  I had a blast creating the background for this one.  I used my Aqua Painter with Pool Party, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Not Quite Navy ink pads on Naturals Ivory card stock.  How fun!!!

Ok....I seriously have to hit the hay.  5:30 is going to be here before I know it.  :-(

I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your sweet comments and support.  You guys rock my socks!!!

Much love and stamped blessings,
