"Sunny Side of the Street" Sweet Note Tote

Hey there, Stampers,

Want a fun, sweet project that's sure to bring smiles and sunshine?
I had an amazing time Saturday sharing this fun "Sweet Note Tote" with my Inkerbelle Stampin' Team gals.  We had such fun and shared lots of laughs and stampin' time.  They each got to create their own tote which included 4 beautiful monogrammed cards and 4 matching embossed envelopes.  Everything fit perfectly into the tote and they left with a fun gift to give (or keep for themselves...hee hee hee)

I will be scheduling a "Sweet Note Tote" class for those of you in the Northern Virginia area and I'll be offering the project as a "kit" option stay tuned.

Ok...Here's a look at the one like the girls made this weekend...

Ears To You

Happy Friday, Peeps!

I don't know about you...but I am SO ready for spring!  I'm ready for sunshine...warm weather...birds singing...sleeping with the windows open...and, of course...Easter.
I really enjoy creating fun treats to share, decorations for the house and making decorations for our Easter dinner table.

The project I have to share with you today is so bright and cheery.  It's created with one of the brand new Single Stamps from Stampin' Up!.  It's called "Ears To You".
Here's what I came up with...

I made a fun, little basket using Designer Series Paper and a few scraps of card stock.  I love the basket designs using a square scallop bottom like this one.  It's so different and just really fun.

The matching card was created using the "Window Frames" Framelit Collection and the Big Shot.
I used my Stampin' Markers to ink up the image in a rainbow of colors.  Don't they just "pop" off the page?

Here's the info on the stamp...

With trendy patterns and funky flair, bunnies have never been so bold! Use this stamp to spring into spring and stamp in style. So, ears to you and many hoppy times with these three bouncy bunnies.

"By the Tide" - CASE

Ever heard the term "CASEing"?
It's stands for "Copy And Share Everything"
CASEing is something you'll find in paper crafting quite often.  It's an easy way to come up with a project quickly.  Guess what??  There's more than one way to CASE.  Yes indeedy...  You can copy exactly or you can take the general design, stamp set or maybe the color scheme and make something of your own.
**NOTE:  Let me add a disclaimer here...I've CASEd and I've been CASEd and giving "credit" to the original artist is ALWAYS the right thing to do when at all possible**

I received a gorgeous card as a swap when I was at SU! Leadership and I knew I wanted to recreate it in some way or another.
First, I'll show you the original card.
It was created by a very talented stamper by the name of Becky Morris.  I love her work!

I love the colors....Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
and Cajun Craze's what I came up with....  It's a "pocket" card made with a Very Vanilla envelope...

Start by sealing the envelope shut.  Then you'll cut off 1/4" from the left side.  This creates the pocket.  Then I used the "By the Tide" stamp set to make a collage on the front of the envelope.  The "Thanks So Much" greeting is from the "Oh, Hello" stamp set.

Then I used a piece of Very Vanilla to stamp the inside of the card, leaving room to write a message.  It's then layered on a slightly larger piece of Baja Breeze and then an even larger piece of Cajun Craze. An added 1 1/4" circle makes the perfect "pull tab" for the top with  a piece of Baker's Twine.
So I hope this will inspire you to find something fun to CASE and stretch your imagination a little.
It's really a fun way to create.

Here are the images in the "By the Tide" stamp set...  It's one of the sets in the Spring Catalog...

Chalkboard "Sunshine"

Do you ever just see a quote and it sparks a flood of memories?  That's exactly what happened when I saw the stamp that I used in today's project.  I have really enjoyed the "Single Stamps" that Stampin' Up! released before Christmas and I'm even more in love with some of the newest ones released.  You can see all of them by CLICKING HERE .  Here's the one that just made my heart "sing"...

I just love the "You Are My Sunshine" stamp.  I thought it was a great choice to use with the "Chalkboard Technique".  The "Summer Smooches" Designer Series Paper made a perfectly cheerful background and I decided to use it to create a matching envelope too.  Here's a peek at the inside of the card...

It was so easy making the coordinating flowers using the 1/2" and 1" circle punches.  I think this little ensemble is just a ray of sunshine.

Here's a list of products for you...They can all be found at my Online Shop. can pick one FREE Sale-A-Bration product for every $50 you spend.  Woot!

Meet "Nellie" - My Sweet Valentine Punch Art Pup

Happy Valentine's Day!

It's been a wonderful day today.  I'm happy, healthy and with the ones I love.
I wanted to post this earlier today but I had to wait until I'd handed out all of my valentines.  LOL

Here's the newest little lady in my Punch Art Critter family....
Her name is "Nellie".  She's named after one of my favorite valentines of all time, my Nannie (my dad's mom), Nellie Marie Carrington.  I'm thinking that this little lady would really make her smile.  It's been a very long time since I've been able to pick up the phone and call her or see her smiling face.
I'm thinking of her today and feeling her love around me.
Meet Nellie...
Nellie has on her best hair bow and her best bling.
She's had a great day spreading some love and bringing smiles.

Want to learn how to create a sweet pup like "Nellie"?

Soda Pop Top "Love"

Ok....I'm admitting it here....loud and proud....
I have joined the "Soda Pop Top" crafting craze!
I was excited to open up the Spring Catalog and see that Stampin' Up! had joined in too.
I have to say, though, that I'm not surprised.  They always seem to have their finger on the pulse of what's hot.  Love that!

So I've been playing around with the pop tops I got in a recent order.  I had no idea that there are SO many different ways to use them for all kinds of fun crafts and creations.

I decided to create some fun jewelry with a couple of mine and I LOVE them.  Talk about a quick gift...  (Ok...who am I kidding??  I'm keeping these first two.)  Add whatever fits your fancy and seal it all in with a little Crystal Effects and VOILA.

Feeling Sentimental?

What could be better than getting FREE stamps and supplies?  I mean seriously???
I don't know about you but I'm loving Sale-A-Bration so far.  I've found tons of different ways to used just about all of the products I've earned so far and I'm nowhere close to being done.

Today I'm sharing a card I created for my "Just Cards" class recently.  It features "Feeling Sentimental", one of the stamp sets that's FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  It's available in English, French and Spanish.  Let me show you the card and then I'll explain how I created it....

...and here's a peek at the inside...

To add a little added "vintage"'s spritzed with the Stampin' Spritzer Tool and an Island Indigo Marker.  Fun, huh?

The card base is Island Indigo.  The background was created by stamping the "En Francais" stamp in Island Indigo Ink.  "Tone on Tone" stamping can give you such a striking effect.  I really enjoy using it. for a really fun technique....  the "Grid" technique.
I started with a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  I used my diagonal plate for the Simply Scored tool.  Now, you can choose whether to score your lines horizontally and vertically or score them diagonally.  You can also choose how far apart they will be.  Mine were scored 3/4" apart on the diagonal (hence the diagonal scoring plate).   Once the card stock has been scored it's time to stamp.
Here's ANOTHER cool technique....Take any of your clear acrylic choose the size...
I chose one that was just bigger than the image I planned to stamp.  I inked up the empty block with Crumb Cake ink and stamped it directly onto the scored White card stock.  Woot! if that wasn't cool enough....  I then stamped the ferris wheel image from "Feeling Sentimental" in Pacific Point ink over top of the Crumb Cake image.  VOILA!  Now how stinkin' cool is THAT??
I love how it looks!!  I just tore the edges and sponged them to give it a rustic feel.

Here are the images in the "Feeling Sentimental" stamp set....

"Feeling Sentimental" stamp set:  Wood Mount #129627   Clear Mount #129630 (Available in English/French/Spanish)

I added two stinkin' cute "tickets" from one of my new favorite stamp sets from the Spring Catalog..."That's the Ticket".  Here are the images included in it...

"That's the Ticket"  Wood Mount: #128072   Clear Mount:  #128075
One of the BEST parts.....It has a matching punch!  WOOT!

"Ticket Duo Builder" Punch - #126883

Ok...I'm off to prep for Wednesday's "Just Cards" stamp camp.  Have you stamped today?
You can find these and SO many other fun stamps and supplies at my Online Store.
Don't can get the "Feeling Sentimental" Stamp Set (or 18 other items) for FREE now during Sale-A-Bration.  You will earn one freebie for every $50 in orders.

I’m enjoying quite a relaxing day today.  It’s so nice.  We’ve had quite a busy week.  I’ve been busy in my studio working on two projects for a very special reason.  I was honored to be asked by Debbie McNeill of Crafty Person Productions to be their “Dynamic Demonstrator” for the month of February.  I’m beyond excited to work with Debbie and be able to share what I do with her followers and friends.  I had fun creating the projects and I was very happy that Debbie liked what I came up with.  I’ll have to see if I’m able to share them with you at some point.

I’ve also created several  new  projects to share here on my blog this week.  The one I picked to share today is a new addition to the Suitable Punch Art family.  Woot!
