Hello, my friends,
Happy Wednesday! I've had a relaxing time today with Linz and Zach. We went to a huge outlet mall that they love and I got lots of "good Mama points" :-) Linz bought a new book for her library....Zach got to walk the mall from one end to the other....and I bought them lunch. Score!
I wanted to share a fun project with you today. It's actually one of the fun 3D items I created for a swap at Convention. I absolutely love them. I hope you will too.....
Aren't they sweet? They are "Cupcake Onesies". :-)
Each cupcake is made with one baby washcloth, one baby onesie-size 6-9 months and a few other odds and ends. I chose to use some fun Designer Series Paper and coordinated it with the colors of the washcloths. To make the cupcake "liner" I took a real one that I had in the kitchen and cut the bottom out. I then cut up the side so that it was one long strip. I traced it onto a piece of paper and extended it 1/2" on one end. This became my pattern. I cut it out and then traced around it on the "wrong" side of the DSP of choice. Once they were all cut out I took them one by one and wrapped them around the little onesie bundles and used adhesive on the extra 1/2" tab to adhere. (My adhesive of choice for this project was Sticky Strip)
I used the "Itty Bitty Banners" stamp set.
Itty Bitty Banners - Wood Mount - 126255-$15.95 Clear Mount - 126257-$11.95
To make this stamp set even sweeter.....Stampin' Up! came out with a coordinating Framelit set to cut them out! Woot!
Bitty Banners Framelits - 129267 - $14.95
I used a cute, little safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets embellishment set. Here's a peek at what's included...
Vintage Trinkets - 118764 - $5.95
I love, love, LOVE the little button brads! I use these a LOT.
For the "cherry" on top of the cupcake I used a red pom pom and I adhered it by putting a small piece of double sided tape under it.
These would be adorable favors for a baby shower. Better still.....they would cost just pennies to make! LOVE it!
If you'd like to see all the choices of DSP, just got to my Online Store and check them out.
Stay tuned for more fun projects....and.....
Have a magical day!
