Doggone Delighted

Hello my friends!

I'm sitting here both winding down and gearing up.  Winding down from quite a trying week and gearing up for a weekend full of family, friends and relaxation.  Linz has a new phrase she made up.  It's S.H.I.F.T.  So Happy It's Friday Tomorrow.  I love it.  I am most definitely SHIFTing tonight.  Whew!

So today I thought I'd share a new, little treat tote with you.  It's a little tote design I saw online late one night while blog hopping and for the life of me I can't find it again.  Luckily, I made a sketch of the directions and that's what I worked from.

The tote itself is made from one piece of 12x12 card stock.  This one, though, is made from a 12x12 sheet of Stampin' Up! Design Series Paper.  It's the perfect weight and it was super easy to work with.  Also, the patterns are SO stinkin' cute!

This is the one I made to share tonight.  It's a combo of the tote and a little punch art critter as well.

Isn't that cool?  I was SO excited when I saw this design.  They are really quick and easy to make and take just a few supplies.  They are also easy to make for any occasion.....  Add a little treat...a gift card....or even line the inside with photos as a gift.

This one is a little treat for a friend's new puppy.  It's filled with some yummy "Doggone Delights" a.k.a. Milk Bones.  Here's a diagram on the cuts and folds for the tote design.

Once you've scored and cut on the lines as shown, use a bone folder to make all folds crisp and fold box to close.  I then cut a topper for it using the Top Note die for the Big Shot.  Then I embossed it using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder just to add a little interest.  I added "Barkley", a sweet punch puppy to the flap and added Velcro as a closure on the under side.

I made another version of these for the students in my class for Valentine's Day.
Here's what they looked like....Unfortunately the photo doesn't show off the silver glitter paper.
It really made the whole design "pop".

You can make them into purses or just little gift totes....The sky's the limit.
So that's it from here for now.  I hope you have fun creating a few of these doggone cute treats.

Wishing you a magical day and many stamped blessings,
