This is a card I designed to send to a friend and I have to say it just makes me smile.
It's such a simple technique but it makes a really great statement for a "one layer" card.....well, not really one layer at all.
I have to admit that I'm kind of addicted to Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper (DSP for short).
They are all awesome to create with and I love that they are all double sided. Woot!
This pattern is from the "Greenhouse Gala" pack and it's a great combo of colors that are just....well... happy!
I punched out 1/2" circles from a piece of DSP and the used a 1 1/4" circle punch to complete the punch for each. I did them a bit off center because it made me think of a retro feel. the blue circles are actually the inside of the larger ones...just the reverse side of the paper. Cool, huh? After I adhered the circles to the pumpkin pie cardstock I put the whole thing into the square lattice embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot making it look like one piece of cardstock. Easy....Peasy!
I adhered the whole thing to the Baja Breeze card stock and....Voila!
