Beautiful Box and Matching Cards Stamp Class

One thing that I love about Stampin' Up! is that it has brought me some awesome new friends.  I love our team and am constantly inspired by my upline, Robin.  I'm so blessed to be a part of the
Trinity Design Stampers.
Robin invited me over last night to a class she was having where we made thiese beautiful boxes with 8 matching cards.  I love it!  I think Della and I both decided right then and there that we just had to share this project with our own friends and customers.

This is the "belly band" that goes around the box....The flower was made using the Big Shot.

The cards we made to put inside....Soooo pretty!
So....I've decided that I'll be offering this class on Wednesday, April 6th at 7 p.m. at my  house.  The patterned paper will be different from the one we used on the one shown in these photos.
The cost for the class is $20 and all supplies will be included.
Please RSVP no later than Monday, April 4th.

I hope you can come and have some fun creating this beautiful springtime project.  :-)
Have a  blessed day!

Shoebox Swappin'....

Well I've been really bad lately and haven't stopped long enough to post to my blog.  (Sorry Mom...)
I have so many things I've wanted to share so I thought I'd start with this...
On Saturday I went to an awesome Stampin' Up! event that was put together by my friend (and upline) Robin and her friend, Kimberly.  We met at the Manassas Volunteer Fire Department.  It was the first (of hopefully MANY more) "Shoebox Swap" for Northern VA Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.

Here's a photo of most of us after all our cards were made....What a GREAT group of ladies!

What in the world is a "Shoebox Swap" you ask?  Well....  Each demonstrator creates one card...any theme....and cuts out all the parts and pieces for the card x how ever many demonstrators are coming.  You put all the supplies needed to create your card in a...SHOEBOX.....  :-)  When you are at the swap you go table to table and you make one of each card that all of the demos created and VOILA! you go home with a whole bunch of AWESOME cards.

So....I thought I'd share a few of my faves....

Here's the one I designed....
The picture isn't great but at least you can get the idea.....

Here are a few of my faves that were designed by some of the other demos...and I got to make one of each of them to keep.  I actually came home with 27 beautiful cards!!  LOVE IT!

It's always fun to see other people's designs and also to see different ways to use products that I may have not thought of.  These women inspire me SO much and I feel so blessed to know each of them. I'd best get busy because I have several other things I want to blog about!

Have a magical evening!

Making Memories

The Lady Twin Adventure is in full swing!
Bealy and I got up at 4 a.m. yesterday to head out to the airport.  Neither of us slept much the night before....go figure.

We had an awesome flight.  The Jet Blue crew was hilarious!  From the time we stepped on board it was like a comedy show.  They joked around and even the captain (a woman!) got on the P.A. and she was too funny.  Anyway....we had a smooth flight and arrived in Florida with a full day still ahead of us.
We took Disney's Magical Express from the airport to our resort and we highly recommend it.

We checked our bags in at Dulles and when we got to our room at the resort they delivered them to us.  Sweet!  We arrived at our "home" resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa where we checked in and we hit the ground running.  :-)   (We belong to Disney Vacation Club...their version of a time share.  Saratoga Springs is where we bought ours and it's considered our "Home")  It's always fun to come back and have the cast members say, "Welcome Home"!

The weather here is GORGEOUS.  It's in the high 70's to low 80's with blue skies and bright sunshine.  It's both great and scary to put on shorts for the first time this season.  Can you say BRIGHT WHITE??  We both got sun yesterday and I know we'll be getting more today.
The resort is so awesome.  It's themed after Saratoga Springs, NY and the horse racing there.  (right up Britt's alley!)

We dropped off our stuff in the room....oops....almost forgot to tell you about the room!
Our room is wonderful.  We are on the ground floor (which is great since I'm wearing this dumb "boot" on my foot).  We look out at a garden area and we are about 30 steps from the pool on our side of the resort!! (Yep...we counted!)

Just beyond the pool is the waterway looking over at Downtown Disney.  We took a boat from SS to Downtown Disney to have lunch, shop and explore.

We loved seeing all the beautiful flowers and trees in bloom.  It just makes us feel like spring has sprung.

We had a delicious lunch at The Earl of Sandwich.  It's a place we've always wanted to try when we're here as a family but they don't have anything on the menu that Linz and Zach will eat.  We walked through some of our favorite shops including The Art of Disney, the Disney scrapbook store and, of course, Ghirardhelli....which made Britt a happy girl. :-)

We went by Raglan Road Irish Pub over at Pleasure Island to see what was happening there for St. Patrick's Day.  It was all decked out and they had festivities planned all day long.

I didn't realize that Britt hadn't been down here since Disney put in the balloon at Downtown Disney.  We decided we just had to try it.  Let me just say....TOTALLY AWESOME.

The view was incredible!

We came back and chilled by the pool and regrouped and then got gussied up and ready to head back over for dinner.  We went by boat again and we had dinner at Paradiso 37. Yum!  Then we went back to Raglan Road and man on man were they in full swing.  They had a live Irish band playing outside with the occasional Irish dancers thrown in for fun.  What a treat that it was warm enough to be coats....and warm!  Love it!

Then we headed back to crash.....It was a looooong day but an amazing one.  We can't wait to see what magic we can find today!

Until later......
The Lady Twins

P.S.  We kinda keep looking at each other saying, "Um....OMG....we are meeting David Tutera TOMORROW!!

All Blinged Up.....

Well....I was hoping I wouldn't get the news I got today at my appointment with the orthopedist....but I did.
My foot apparently has not healed and he thinks the ligament is torn.  I will have to have an MRI after the trip but for now I have this ugly, black boot to add to my ensemble.
So what does a girl do?  Why bling it up, of course.

So....I had my feet pampered and I had her paint Mickey heads on my big toes and I'm still going to have a magical trip....I'm going to savor every moment.....
I'm just gonna do it with a little hobble in my step.  No biggie.

Gotta go keep packing.....  :-)

Have a magical day!

Magic on the Horizon...

Seven days....Seven days!  This time next week Britt and I will be at Disney at the beginning of our Lady Twin Adventure.  (FYI:  LTA for short....and it's a phrase Linz created years ago)
A little over a month ago Britt was home for the weekend and we were doing what we usually do....we watch the episodes of "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera" that I DVR while she's at school.  We love the show AND we love him!  He is so fun....SO creative and he makes "magic" happen.  I don't know if you know it or not.....but in our family....we LOVE MAGIC!  So...that particular night I logged on to check Facebook and I had a post from Disney Fairytale Weddings.  (I have a side business doing Disney Travel Planning so I keep track of all the Disney venues...)  It was a post that said "Have you registered for the Disney Bridal Expo with David Tutera?"  I'm not sure but I think I actually did squeal!  Long story short....I registered us for the us a room at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort....2 tickets on Jet Blue...and VOILA!  We are going on an adventure!

Now...let me tell you since I know you're wondering....Britt is NOT engaged yet.  We mostly wanted to go to the Expo to get up close and personal with wedding photographers who really kick butt and we know that we can learn tons from them.  Now...I'm not gonna lie....Disney and David Tutera???  I mean HELLO!
So....we are going to experience it all.
We have reservations for the luncheon at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa where the event is being held.  Guests at the luncheon include David, of course, the editor of The Knot Magazine and a designer for Alfred Angelo with the Disney Bridal Dresses.  After we had our reservations for the luncheon we thought it couldn't get any better than that....we were wrong.  About two weeks ago I had an email from Disney Events saying that they were offering private dress fittings with the Disney Wedding Dress Designer!  Ok...really?  How often does THAT opportunity come along?  I didn't think Britt would want to...especially since she's not engaged yet.  Well...after mulling it over and talking to Sam (who said she HAS to try them on!) Britt called and asked me to see if I could still get a fitting for her.  So I did...  I got the LAST time slot!!!  WOOT! seven short days we'll be off on our adventure and I can't wait.  A couple of days ago we were in the car and I asked her if she's excited and you know what she said?  She said, "I'm excited about Disney, I'm exited about having lunch with David Tutera and I'm excited about trying on the dresses....but MOST of all I'm excited about going on an adventure to Disney with YOU and having you all to myself.  Thank you SO much for making this happen".  That was something I'll never forget.

Time for me to sleep.....and dream of a magical Lady Twin Adventure.

A Big Shot Dresser...

I was so excited when I saw this idea.  I love my Big Shot and just couldn't wait to recreate it on my own.

This little dresser is made using both the "Matchbox" and "Top Note" dies.  I had a hard time choosing which Designer Series Paper to use and I'm really happy with my choice.
The "drawers" are filled with Hershey's Nuggets.  Each one is wrapped with a strip of coordinating DSP.
I finished the "drawers" off with four of the Antique Brads.
You could actually make it as a gift box for any number of gift items.  The possibilities are endless!

Have a magical day!

Springtime Wishes

Nothin' like coming home to a box of goodies from Stampin' Up!
I couldn't wait to dig in a start playing with it all.
Here's a little taste of spring today.
I used the "Easter Blossoms" stamp set and I love it.

I hope it brightens your day.
Stamped blessings,

Hoppin' Down the Bunny Trail....

What a gorgeous day it turned out to be!  I don't know about you but I love soaking all that warm sunshine into my bones after a cold and blustery winter.  Ahhhhhh.....

I'm posting a couple of new photos of "springy" projects I've been working on.  I saw projects like these online and decided they were too cute to pass by.  So....I pulled out my favorite SU! tool, the Big Shot, and made them myself with a few little tweaks and changes.
I hope you like them.  :-)
